If you’ve been in the DJ game for a number of years, you probably feel that you have the basics of DJing pretty much mastered. You can beatmix, blend, bust a few scratches, and know how to read the crowd. But sometimes, it feels like this in no longer enough to keep everyone engaged and interactive at the club or at a private event. As times change, it’s important to stay up to date with the latest trends in interactive DJ tools. It may be time to consider adding an interactive social media wall to your DJ arsenal.
It’s no secret that social media is huge. In fact, there are over 2.3 billion active social media users that browse, share, or post almost every day. No matter where you live, a large percentage of the population uses this media daily. Wouldn’t it be great to harness this power and put it to use building your DJ brand? Then, at the party, if someone snaps a pic and tags it with that hashtag, it will stream live to the screens. Additional members of the crowd can comment, or send their own posts or pics to the display as well. As this continues throughout the night, the crowd will feel more engaged and involved. Your social media wall has done it’s job. Everyone had a great time, and they’ll definitely return to your party’s next monthly installment. (more…)
